Affordable original art that's easily accessible. So, take a look around.
How do I do it?
I use an original technique of glass painting that allows me to achieve the look of Art Glass. After the paint has cured, I fire the pieces in a kiln which sets the design permanently. This process is done on preformed clear glassware.
Some of my work is done by the Warm Glass or Kiln-Fired method. This process is more involved because I design and make my own glass pieces using several techniques. In the quest to achieve a desired effect, I am limited only by the size of the kiln.
Each piece is painted by hand and kiln-fired to insure durability. The designs are one-of-a-kind, so exact duplication is never possible. However, a general theme and style can certainly be carried through when a number of custom pieces are commissioned.
These pieces are designed by melting glass and shaping it in a kiln between 1,100 and 1,700 degrees Fahrenheit. We employ these processes of glass fusion and glass slumping to achieve our unique designs. When necessary, we will combine glass painting as a final step to these pieces.
